Snow Geese lifting off from Unit 1 at the Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge in Imperial County, CA. Each winter, tens of thousands of Snow and Ross's Geese gather here, feeding on ryegrass and wheat planted by the refuge's farming program to fatten up for their spring migration.
